Returns the shared envelope. `data` echoes identity (`ticker`, `cik`, `company_name`) plus `coverage_start`, and `data.owners` is one row per reporting person — their LATEST Schedule 13D/13G event, newest filing first. Each owner carries `name`, `cik` (null when the cover page had none), `person_type`, `percent_of_class` and `shares_beneficially_owned` (decimal strings; null when the filing omitted them), `schedule_type` (`13D` = activist/control intent, `13G` = passive or institutional), `submission_type` (the EDGAR form label as filed, e.g. `SCHEDULE 13D/A`), `amendment_number`, `date_of_event`, `filed_date`, and `accession_number` for citation. A `percent_of_class` below 5 means the person's latest amendment reported dropping under the 5% threshold — an exit signal, deliberately kept. Coverage: structured 13D/13G filings from 2024-12-18 (the SEC's structured-XML mandate) for the S&P 500 pilot subject universe. Quarterly institutional-manager snapshots (13F) are a different dataset and are NOT served here. An empty `owners` list for a covered company is a normal success (no 13D/13G events on record). Bounds: default 20, max 100 owners per page; page via `pagination.next_cursor` → `cursor`. Errors carry machine codes: `unknown_entity` (with did-you-mean suggestions) for an unknown ticker, `out_of_coverage` for a company outside the pilot universe, `bad_parameter` for a malformed ticker, limit, or cursor.
